Devlog #3 — Marrakesh Vibes and Steering Wheel Support

15 Jun, 2025

Hey everyone, welcome back to our third devlog!

In Devlog #2, we took you through the systems that make the game tick—buying and selling cars, running your own office, and driving through the hustle of Marrakesh. Today, we’re zooming in (literally) on the world we’re building—starting with the first neighborhood block, interior shots of your ride, and yes… we added steering wheel support!

Let’s gooo.

The Streets of Marrakesh — Block by Block

It all starts with sidewalks, curbs, palm trees, and that classic ochre architecture. For this update, we focused on crafting the first playable district—a sunlit Marrakesh neighborhood surrounded by apartments, parked cars, and shady corners perfect for quiet deals or casual walks.

You’ll see:

  • Sidewalk curvature that reflects how Marrakesh organically grew over decades
  • Intersection flow, designed to feel chaotic but believable
  • Parked cars with different conditions, perfect for scouting your next flip

It’s not just decoration. This area is fully functional, part of the buying/selling gameplay loop—and as we expand the map, this zone will become one of the most familiar spaces you start your journey in.

Inside the Car — Welcome to the Cockpit

This update also marks our first pass on car interiors—and not just placeholder dashboards. We’re talking full steering wheel models, working gauges, visible interiors from all angles, and a camera system that lets you feel like you’re truly behind the wheel.

The dashboard is clean, modern, and responsive. We’ve begun testing visibility, steering animation, and camera switching to give each car a distinct driving experience. Some vehicles are tighter and sportier, others feel heavy and tank-like. But no matter what you’re driving, you’ll feel immersed.

Steering Wheel Support — Logitech G923 Tested

Oh, and yes—we added full steering wheel support.

We tested with the Logitech G923, and let’s just say… it’s a game-changer. You can drive the streets of Marrakesh with real force feedback, pedal input, and full control over how your car behaves.

  • Smooth 1:1 steering? ✅
  • Force feedback? ✅
  • Vibration? ✅

We’re still polishing the settings (especially at low speeds and for heavy vehicles), but early tests felt SO GOOD. Once you try driving with the wheel, it’s hard to go back. It brings the city to life in a way that a keyboard or controller just can’t.

Final Thoughts — The World Feels Alive

This week was a huge step forward. We now have the first real chunk of Marrakesh built and explorable, with interiors and steering wheel support that push immersion to a new level.

In Devlog #4, we’ll show:

  • NPC reactions and voice systems,
  • Dynamic traffic behaviors,
  • The first car auction event (yep, it’s coming),
  • And maybe a peek at weather changes!

Thanks again for following us on this journey—and remember: the city doesn’t wait for anyone. Get in. Drive. Build your story.
