Devlog #2 — Gameplay Features Breakdown

10 Jan, 2025

Hey everyone, welcome back to our second devlog!

In Devlog #1, we talked about how we kicked off the project, built core mechanics, and why we chose Marrakesh as our game’s heart. Today, it’s all about the features—the systems that bring the city to life and make the game feel like a real grind, a real business, a real story.

Let’s get into it.

Start From Nothing, Build Your Empire

In this game, you’re not just a driver—you’re a hustler, a negotiator, a business mind. Your journey starts small, maybe even on the street, but eventually… you’ll own your own office, hire people, and dominate the car scene.

You can:

  • Buy & Sell Cars: Head to car auctions, dealers, or find gems hidden in the backstreets. Fix them up and flip them for profit—or keep the best ones.
  • Upgrade with Car Parts: Need more speed? Better grip? Install performance parts or go full custom with visual upgrades. Every part has a purpose.
  • Negotiate & Bargain: This ain’t just button-mashing. Marrakesh is a city of deals—you need to know how to talk, read body language, and strike gold. Every sale, every purchase can shift depending on how well you bargain.
  • Own an Office: Your HQ. This is where your business lives. Upgrade it, decorate it, and use it to manage inventory, finances, and incoming deals.
  • Drive & Deliver: Whether it’s testing cars, delivering them to clients, or simply cruising through the streets—driving feels good. Real weight, smooth handling, and that classic Marrakesh chaos in traffic.

Gameplay Loop – The Street Never Sleeps

You find a car → you evaluate it → negotiate the price → bring it back → repair or customize → sell it → reinvest.
Sounds simple, but trust us—every step has risk, strategy, and choice. The market changes. Clients have preferences. And if you’re not smart, someone else will get the better deal.

More Than Mechanics

The goal isn’t just to make a cool car game. It’s to create a world where entrepreneurship meets street-smart decisions, all wrapped in Marrakesh’s rich culture and high energy.

What’s Next?

In Devlog #3, we’ll show off the UI/UX flow, how players interact with menus, how we manage bargaining dialogues, and maybe a sneak peek of our first in-game car auction event!

Thanks for the support—and remember, in this game, every deal counts.
